Done bit more tonight, hoping to get the welding done by the end of Sunday.

Welded in the harder side. Still got to finish it but ran out of energy, as did my phone so only 3 pics

And for all of the cynics who think it's me twisting the camera to make it look better, look at the pole behind the trees to the top right.

Nice to see you welding in some fresh rust there Stu, It wouldn't be a Classic without a rusty floor :hysterically_laughi

The wife is of glamping with the cubs this weekend, so I may be able to pop up and see the Rangey tonight if you are around.

Yep, and it aint a maverick its a terrano II, same car under the badge though. Giving the wife a trailer lesson and fetching wood to build more horse jumps at the same time. I did look but didn't see you.

Well today I did some more, sold some more and drank some more :tea:

Got all the newbits inplace, apart from the filler part.

Found a great way of clamping the two arches together

The outside is a lot stronger now.

Then onto the other side.

Took a cold chisel to the seam

Opened the seam enough to run the grinder down and cut most of the spot welds, then the chisel again to finish it off

Worked well and came apart easily. Drilled the rivets at the back and cut along the arch at the front and it was out.
