Hi Stu.

Those three pipes are a bit bizarre, obviously 1 will be a return line fron the engine, where do they go that head toward the rear of the motor?

Not being familiar with fancy modern Range Rovers (4 door :)) what is the small cylinder on the chassis rail in front, fome sort of filter? sedimentor?

yeah they are vent pipes, I think it was only the 3.5 efi that had three lol. makes it easy to get the right tank when you are ordering though bud

The fuel return is separate, there are 7 pipes in total going in and out of the tank and yes that is the fuel filter.

On the bright side the Chemical Metal seams to have gone solid.

You know when you are having a bad day and it gets mo better ?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Welcome to today :mad::mad::mad:

YESTERDAY I welded in the plate I had cut for the front footwell having switched to argon 86% Co2 14% gas, wish I had done it sooner, use loads more gas but it's worth it for the quality of the weld.

Got the access hole right for the mount as well.

Ground down the chemical metal and was very happy with the result

Measured the roof rack I found on the scrap heap and its slightly to narrow but full roof length, got some roof bars so will use them and all will be good.

But that was yesterday

TODAY

Having spent all day working in the rain replacing the fence the horses broke:mad: Thought I would finish the welding  so, having bought even more gas set in for a night's welding, the wife is away for the weekend and the sprog is looking after Grandad was all set to get it finished.

Welded in a plate to act as door seal holder, all going well until tacking upsidedown and got a blob of weld on the tip. Did my usual and got the plyers out to break it off. Broke it off alright, just behind the thread of the welding tip :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: thats the welder out of action until I get that replaced :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Decided that as I couldn't finish the welding I would clean off the finished side and prime it, but first took the windscreen out. That went well and cleaned off the door frames top of windscreen and sill. Primed and all was going well.

Cleaned off the tunnel to prime that, cought an edge and the death kill wire wheel decided to live up to its name and attacked me by shooting wires at me, now need a new wire wheel as well

But got that primed and looks good.

As you may have guessed my phone is not working due to being rained on all day :( so no pics of todays efforts.

Windows being changed tomorrow at home so hopefully that will go well.

Got most of my paint ordered, most of it has turned up just got to finalise the shade of blue. Sander and window seal tool turned up in the post so getting the bits sorted just need things to go well for abit.

Ha ho, beer me thinks :D

yeah worth having big bottles mate, I also went through a **** load of tips doing mine, by the end the shroud was eroded too :p

Over time has kicked in at work :D

Just ordered both front inner wings and all the body mounts :p

Bits have turned up for my welder and most of the paint is hear, just need some time to get it done.....

Yup pub night tomorrow not sure i may be slightly late getting there and will have to bail early on a training course for work all this week

The boss gave me a big wooden crate today and said "Thats to put all of your bits in when you get it out of the shed, don't forget it has to be out in 6 weeks."

Hopefully by then it will be in less bits :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
