Still got the S-type?

What sort of speed were you doing? I've been getting 18 max lately,!!
I was doing the legal limit in all areas :D ahem.
A fair few overtakes though, surprisingly I could only get it down to 16 ragging it :D

got 390mi from 80litres which some have said is near impossible but I guess thats the prize for having a motor that is running properly :D
For a big clunky V8 it runs like a swiss watch

Otto, as bought a few weeks ago. 25 year old P38, apparently out of the UK for the first 5 years though. Does anyone know if LR Heritage or anyone can tell us where? DVLA just says 'imported, first UK reg June 2001, manufactured 1996'.

As Kermie says, probably Japan. Don't know about now but we used to call the fast hatchbacks "grey imports". Basically their past was a ghost. The good news is Jap imports are usually in brilliant condition when they arrive, having not been subjected to our roads.

I think there may be ways to check an import these days, but have no idea who would be best.

Grey import refers to a vehicle, new or used, independently to the official manufacturer so will usually have slightly different trim levels etc
Japan is great for imports because they drive on the left as we do and often do low miles. Also not subjected to our winters

And the JDM has or had alot of very interesting cars. We get stuck with carollas and diesel civics.

Pretty scuffed / corroded Stormer copies I believe - previous owner (fortunately didn't have it long enough to do too much stupidity) put them o when he got it as he liked the flash. We'd rather go back to standard - could be getting a set off P38-DFX, maybe soon. The will be outing those 20 inchers. But they are a full set of 5.

Would account for only about 25K in first 5 years, and remarkably low corrosion, bar the usual upper tailgate. Some surface but not deep, looking to get a thorough steam / protect treatment done at some point soon, although that looks like a minefield judging by these forums!
