I'm guessing in urbanised areas an possibly 'dahhn sarf' but up north can be a bit hairy. Birmingham and Manchester being the 'Hqs' for car thieves, or so I've been told.

I often park mine for long periods when I go offshore and have, as a minimum:

Disclok, Immob and insurance docs on my person at all times. If I come back and it's nicked I give them a bell.

The thing that would p*ss me off the most is replacing the machine and the kit on board, especially as it's customised.

The thing about the Tracker is that professional gangs can get around it by using lead-lined loading wagons and satellite 'black spots' that insiders let them in on for where a chop-shop can be established :(

i was only teasing really. i used to live in plymouth and had a car break in 6 times! i live in a sleepy village now.

I always think if you have visible deterents then hopefully they will go for an easier one. a switch to cut the electric to the starter, or fuel cut off is an effective, cheap way of preventing it being driven away.

Mates had his Defender indicators tampered with ... four youths in hoodies, but they were disturved ... as the Landy sits behind a large fence in his back yard!

Could you pm me please Ratty. ;)
