The lot.
I have an electric rattle gun and only ever ran landy wheels. Can start work before wheel is off the floor.
Comp motors don't run stone guards
So calipers are off quicker & can get to the top swivel pin shims.
But a bit of play in swivel pins would not be spotted off road. If needed I would just remove a shim & rebuild on the following "quiet" weekend.

What does tool da1125 do on the drop arm ball joint? Press a cup in or something?

dunno the numbers but i brought a tool to do the drop arm ball joint, after the first time i did it i ****ed about with bottle jacks, and sockets and all sorts of bodge and it took ages. with the tool it just wound in in about 10 mins, made a simple job easy.
Worth the pruchase.
If your anywhere near me (south of gatwick) you can come over to mine and use the tool, doesnt take long

Cheers, mate. But, I'm about as far away from you as it's possible to get and still be in England. :D
What does it do? Compress everything so you can get the circlip in?

pulls old seat out and pulls new in, you still need to compress bottom plate to fit circlip with a jack or some other way

the circlip isnt bad, however be warned, the britpart type kits the replacement srping is turned in such a way that the inside end of it prevents you from compresssing the flat bottom plate in far enough to get the circlip in, so either get a genuine kit or reuse your old spring if its okay.
its worth drilling and tapping the bottom plate so you can fit a grease nipple i think, i did it with mine and its now greased regularly. Dont fit the grease nipple till younhave the circlip in though.

A good point.
Interesting, when I was looking, that I have seen a few posts where people have described the spring orientation in opposite directions.

Cheers

Can't see it making any difference

Opposite direction doesn’t matter but the coils of the spring overlapping slightly does as it means the spring can’t be squashed flat which means you can’t get the bottom plate in.

In the genuine spring the coils are nice and even and have clearance between them so it can be squashed flat - each coil is slightly smaller than the last - but in the britpart spring they weren’t quite small enough meaning the spring can’t be compressed correcrly

Why not change the steering arm?
Lot easier in the long term. Only have to change a track rod.

Only down side is cost of the arm but hassle free future outways this.
