Have not got round to this yet. Gonna have another 10000 miles on before I know it .
Only number I can find on Transfer box is FRC5415 if that makes any sense of it. ?

Just under the filler plug, and above the lowest cover plate, is a number that is actually stamped onto the casing. The first two numbers and the next letter will tell you what the box is from, the last letter (2 from the end I think), will tell you the type of box you have, which should give you the ratio I think.

One of the earlier photos you posted was close to the location.

Just had another look and definitely no numbers, don't know what's going in there.

You could always take the pto cover off, remove the drive gear & count the slots.
I’m sure @jamesmartin will hopefully tell us the required number for a 1.22 transfer box
That sounds a bit to technical for me with my track record will Google it and see exactly what I have to do first.
thats the sump plate part no
I know mate googled the part number.

That looks like someone may have been at it with a grinder. If you google metal mark fluids, so can reveal what was stamped under the ground metal. Even if you only get the type and model ID, it should help out with future problems.

I just cleaned with small wire brush on end of drill, thats why its nice and shiny, but no sign of any numbers even before I started.

That’s what I mean though. If you look at the photo I posted of my old Tbox, you can see the machine marks from the milling process (radial lines across the flat surface). Yours doesn’t appear to have them, so would suggest they have been “removed”.

Yes see them now, wonder why someone has removed numbers.
