I had a look inside the outside bearing cap, and found this dodgy lay shaft bearing!!
I'm guessing this is my problem!!
I also noticed that the input shaft is a little wobbly and could do with a little bit more preload on the bearing, another thin shim I guess.
Not a big problem but it might make a bit of a seal leak?
I think it does dribble a little.
So I could get this half of the case off fairly easily and remove that lays hart bearing, and away we go?!
