A thought occurs that Tim and I had been musing over trying to repair his by welding .. taking time to do it right, careful filing and fettling to fit it properly etc, as a last resort, to try and resurrect his spare.
Tbh paul I don't think even with the best will in the world it would be a successful repair
Tremendous shock loads down there, don't think id fancy chancing my weekend or sometimes my life on a dodgy diff.
If Tim's end is the opposite break that's awesome, otherwise hoping US quotes me happy

Could you not get a mate with a lathe to turn it out from the centre then TIG weld in a new piece ?
