Noisy, do you got to worry about air flow being restricted with then lights

That's some crazy typo you got going on there :D

As above, I'm not too worried about airflow right now but will be interested to see what the temp guage says when cruising.

Remember 99 and a million percent of the time I'm only crawling around in this motor so it doesn't get any airflow, personally i think it'll be just fine; there is plenty of gap around them to cram lots of air into the rad.

Tomorrow will tell, hot day and long motorway journey WITH the lights fitted!

Weirdly enough cruising is where mine heats up, barely gets warm when crawling, even when I think im booting it (makes sence really) but I have no flow at speed so aslong as you have that gap it should be fine!

Yeah mark I admit I did have to think about it and I have sort of tried to imagine how much surface area I may have lost but I came to the conclusion that the grille basically is just as restrictive and these are about 4" in front of the grill anyway, so I doubt there will be much if any noticeable airflow restriction, plus I reckon my viscous could handle it.

Tbh I'll be interested to see if it does make a difference :)

I doubt you'll get problems, unless there are already inherent problems with your cooling system.

I ran for two days in Wales with a full plastic shroud directly in front of the grille to try to stop water and ****e entering the fan/radiator area .. no issues at all with heating system, but useless as a ****e stopper! (Too far away from the rad to stop stuff getting in I guess)

Lights will only swirl the airflow, I guess, rather than actually block it substantially. ;)

Yours is a tdi, the v8's need more cooling

Mean Meatyness !! :D

Alright noisy. I remember going through your thread and seeing some kind of transmission brake mod just don't have the patience to go through all of your 3million pages again looking for it. What was this mod and where did u get it from mate? Cheers bud.

Not sure. Noisy had a pic up of an add on to the actual drum I think. I've had an oil leak through the output bearing seal so the pads are drenched in oil so therefore will have to be replaced so while doing all this thought I might aswel add on a little bling to the handbrake.

Well, did 230 mile round trip today and it was medium warm weather and it's jus exactly the same! :D

So no worries there!
