Comma Sonic 20w50 is discontinued, alas.

However, it has been rebranded! And still with a high zinc and phosphorus content!

I managed to find a supplier so bought a case of 4.

Did some further reading though, car oils are limited to 0.10% phosphorus, but motorcycle oil are not.

There are V-twin 20w50 oils available with LOTS more ZDDP content, but I don't know at what cost...

What's the plan with the air...Both lockers and???

Not sure what temp tdi 's run at tbh but I still get alot of warm air out just no fan..
I bit the bullet and ordered the heater with 5 outputs so we shall see..now need 4" springs which means il need 6 degree front arms all because I'm the 1st person to bend the rac twist kit lol..

He'll need extra air for the Brake release/freespool on the winch/es? as well as the diffs.

air lockers and tyres for sure, plus general air supply.

will be handy for air tools, lighting bbqs etc

mainly thought if im gonna build an air system for the diffs i might aswell go in for the kill and build a proper one!

300tdi stat is an 88c job.

Loving those seats!

cheers! :D not sure how y'all missed them, theyve been in for ages!

i wish paul, that would be a hell of a lot easier than the manual type.

seems you need vertical type freespool release rather than rotating to use an air freespool actuator, and my winch isnt of that standard

i dont ever think i'll venture into 8274 territory tbh but maybe a large drum goodwinch could be an option in a few years.

have to say i doubt it though, my winch is still a secondary option when it comes to getting around places.

minor update for the sake of post whoring and for those who can be bothered to read:

ran air lines from diffs to solenoids ths evening

ordered some more bits from matt savage today, and a load of fittings from context pneumatic over the weekend

all of which will arrive tomorrow, in theory!

Well chaps, air done, diffs locking, tyres inflating!

The aircon pump is a ####ing beast!!

With both pumps running I inflated a 33x13.5x15 from zero/empty/flat in 90 seconds, and the pressure was rising faster than it could get into the tyre

I tried a DA sander and it runs that for at least a minute before slowing down too much.

Very impressed!!

sounds like what i need, could you provide list of all bits and prices (or just parts) so i can add it to my never ending list of things, 4" springs are going to be 350 :( then trailing arms to sort out camber abiot another 250 :( just in time for crimbo lol

i can't list all teh bits and pieces mate, i'll talk you through it if i see you one day but otherwise its too custom to make any sense of

the main event is you need a factory land rover (probably sanden brand) aircon pump and bracketry etc for your engine

whether or not you choose to have an electric pump aswell is up to you

and then its simply tanks fittings valves etc etc which you can get from viair or anywhere

but yeah youre welcome to a poke about if/when you next see the car :)

no worries, so have you got an air con pump aswell as an electric pump running?, i was hoping to just get an electric pump for mine as iv got 2nd alternator where air con pump could be :(

May see you Sunday Ben :)

Paul yeah i have both for versatility and performance but a decent electric would be fine/ideal

I recommend viair compressors through Matt savage...
