My 1991 Defender needs some seat covers. Actually it only really needs one (my seat :D) but as they come in sets I could be generous to the passengers.

I have looked on fleabay but they are either crap ones with pictures of them fitted to cars, or worse still waterproof

I just want a nice warm comfy seat cover which actually fits.

If someone cant suggest something I will have to fit the ones my daughter took out of her car, pink and fluffy :p:D:D:D:D At least they are comfortable :D

I have had the Britpart ones fitted for several years now and they are perfect.
They are comfortable to sit on, protect the seat material and when dirty wash up like new.
The only downside is that they don't come with a headrest cover however they do come with a cover for the centre seat which I had no problem selling (cubby-box fitted).

Thanks, I could try the first ones :D The others are a bigger job than I wanted. There is nothing wrong with the seats, just they aren't very comfy or warm.

Just bolt in rangeover seats or something similar, much better than covers!

Good isea but I dont have any and wouldn't have a clue how to fit them

I couldn't find those

"I couldn't find those"

Surprised about that as they are about the most common ones out there.
Do a Google search on these part numbers and view the images.

Thanks, I did find those but they are the waterproof ones.

I wanted some comfy warm fabric ones :D

I just refit both seats with Exmoor trim and foams. They are so easy to install look great and are very comfortable!

Are they the ones where you have to remove the old seat cover. I bought one for my old Landy and couldn't work out how to fit it

Yes, the directions are easy and Exmoor has a very good video on you tube on how to do it.

I've got a pair of seat covers on my Defender that sound like what you're after - they're the 'Custom Qulitie' seat covers from overthetop.co.uk

They're not super-cheap (mine were £130 the pair ) but are waterproof, really well made, fit easily and have a quilted, padded fabric face which is way more comfy than the original seat material. Mine are now in my second Defender and 4 years old and showing no signs of wear. When they get muddy they wash easily too.

And no, I'm nowt to do with the business - they're just a good product! :D
