@jamesDisco TD5

Let’s see a bit of TW in action….
Can you look at Builth wells and give me a general screen shot of lanes/bridal ways in the area. If it’s any good I will join
Thanks for your help

There's always the relevant council 'definitive map' but they aren't always up to date
But you need to find the area first,then find the relevant council. Thought I had found the correct area…. Nope about 100miles to far north(that site will be used for other routes later on)

I am making lots of notes as I go.
Thing is I have to do most of this weekends as connections are not good for me during the week to run 2 pads.

Powys above Claerwen.

If you use streetmap.co.uk it will tell you the exact postcode of wherever you point. Helps to find the right council

The Upper Claerwen byway ends at Claerwen, but there's a private link road at the end owned by the Elan Valley Trust that goes through to a UCR. You can email Elan Valley for a permit to drive the link road.

Shown here between the red (Upper Claerwen) and green (open section of UCR).

Does the blue lane (tro) form part of Monks Trod or lead to Monks Trod?

James, what other benefits, apart from mapping, do you get?
Friend was in it a few years back and said it was pretty dead and not worth the money. That's why we have never bothered to join it.

@Anaconda - Take a look at these two links which describe what GLASS does and lists some member benefits, other than access to TrailWise of course:

+ one for trailewise.

I’ve used it for lanes around Kent when planning a couple of days with another forum member.
I agree that Glass is pretty dead in Kent… not even got a rep at moment!

The above form @Anaconda was my experience of glass and trailwise a few years ago so let my membership lapse. Everything on trailwise there seemed to be a good 5-10 years out of date so stopped renewing.

Has this now changed and and people are active on there updating routes and comments etc? I am looking at planning a route around the cotswolds for drive it day and an arcuate and up to date trailwise would certainly make things easier and quicker as a start rather than trawling through the council rights of way maps as a starting point

@dag019

Where in the Cotswold do you want to start/finish?
I have found an article from a motorcycle magazine with a set of track near bourton on the water. So will have a look at those as are local enough to me to pop down for a couple Of hours. But also happier with further south nothing is set yet. Just in the very beginning stages.
