Howdy all!

Just about to fit the radiator, but realised the front panel it attaches too has rusted beyond repair!! I can only find one online on fleabay but that's in Cyprus and costs about £275 new excluding postage!
Is there anyone out there with a second hand series 3 radiator panel?? Really need to get the radiator fitted asap and get the engine running! If you do and you're in Norfolk that would be a bonus but if not then I'm obviously happy to pay for p&p!

Cheers guys. Hopefully someone has a half decent one out there! Any help would be great.

Thanks for the suggestion Land Raver but that's still a bit too expensive! Trying to keep the costs down now if I can, as nearing the end of the rebuild!

i have a front panel for sale 30 quid mint condition not a spot of rust on it post for 11 too

they're not massively rare on ebay you just need to wait.
I got a new one in good nick for £15 and sold my knackared one for £10

Funny that this thread should come up. I had my rad off recently and decided I'd fix mine instead of replacing...mainly as a welding practice.

It's not the prettiest though looks like new once the valance is on - it would have been better but just as I decided it was right I spotted a bit of welding clag and decided to knock it off with the grinder - slipped and put a big gash in it. Could have fillered it but to be honest I think it looks better with a bit of character!

After giving the whole thing a blow over with a few coats of limestone and fitting the placcy grill it does look a lot better than the rusty mess of holes I had before and it the wings don't rock now...

I did the bottom with 1"x3mm angle and a second strip of 1" by 3mm flat. I cut carefully round the curve and then filled with some 1.5 mm scraps. It took about 3 hours all in - would have been quicker but I spent more time looking for tools than I did using them as usual.
