2000 Reg 2.5 Diesel
when it's cold (recent temperatures) the Rangie is a b*tch to start! I have changed the plugs and have not noticed any difference, Ive also recently replaced the lift pump as this died a month or so ago, I did have a small leak on the fuel return pipe this was allowing air in overnight, but have since cured this.
So what happens .
it spins over fine then kind of catches a lumpy 450 500rpm then cuts out, this is sometimes cured with a shot of easy start, if this doesnt work by this point the battery has usually given up and Im needing a jump start from my girlfriends BMW
at first I thought it was my home made fuel being too thick, so I have adjusted the viscosity and no improvement, I have reverted back to pump diesel and still no change.
