Sod the lot I'm a Jeremy Clarkson fan and 16 to the gallon **** I get 12.7 per gallon, got to be something wrong with the old bus. PML. But I would not part with her.

Nope to old to drive like a hooligan and I prefer to cruise not race, even tho I have the power when I stick it in sports mode done that once and forgot it was still in and got only 8 mpg .PML.

As the whole original post was about a service, then I guess you are in need of 1:eek:. Sorry we have gone off a little bit in the middle:)
I can get nearer to the 19mark.
But then I am very slow. (Sometimes:p)

SCR sorry not familiar with this term:oops:
Don’t think I would get on the electric band wagon anytime, that’s a bigger con, unless you are setup properly.
We do have 1 LPG and I have to agree no difference (noticed) in performance.
How many people on here totally ignore their emission and remove their EGR? Would not maintaining as per design be better?
I have no doubt that diesel are sorting out emissions but would have to say it’s a minfield of what one would ,or wouldn’t believe. Depending on your interpretation of what you are told.:)
Still I am a bit of a petrol junkie and love the sound of the V8,but must admit the TDV8 sounds good too:)

As for global warming/cooling then some are let off lightly:)

But this is normal for us :)

I still think hydrogen is the way we will go:rolleyes:.

SCR = Selective Catalytic Regeneration, Drastically reduces NoX.
I agree Hydrogen is the way forward using waste energy from Aeoliens for electrolysis. A Dutch guy is already promoting this as a way forward and at least one car company is starting production of Hydrogen powered cars. It's really no more dangerous than LPG.

They have tanks already for safe storage and use.
I am pretty sure the first steam powered cars were considered dangerous .

It is not going to happen overnight, but I believe it will be a clean alternative to petrol/diesel in the near future.:)
Yes it has its problems, still a lot more development needed. But hasn’t any fuel had these problems?
Given the choice of an electric car ,in the right place and charged the right way they are very good.or the chance to still hear the V8 rumble running on hydrogen. I am pretty sure which I would choose if that was the only choice:)

Think it maybe quite a while, if ever that you hear your Rover V8 running off Hydrogen. There are experimental Hydrogen powered vehicles about, but to get a production version the working wage will have to rise a considerable amount.

Who wants to pay over 60 grand for a flaming Toyota Prius that runs on hydrogen, you can get a decent RR, not me RR all the way.

Well I've found the fuel filter, but the bloody thing would not come apart and as I've had the car 14 years and never changed it I suspect it may be close to the original 1 fitted. So now it looks like loads or either XCP or Plus gas to get the connections to release,so I can get it changed, done the service yesterday so happy about that. Happy New Year to you All.
