one of the guys up the road has got a 5 door hippo , not that it makes any difference , lol
he knocked on my door and asked about fitting tyres
he asked can he fit off road tyres on the back and normal road tyres on the front
now surely this would screw up the vcu, the AT tyres on the rears would have a slightly different circumference than the fronts
said to him not a good idea and said why don't u fit AT tyres all round
could see his thinking , that having normal road tyres on the front then when the extra traction is required the vcu will come in and offer a better AT tyre on the back
said to him I've got bridgestone dueler's road tyres fitted on mine and have been very good, but if u want it for off road use to fit some AT tyres
did advise him at the end of the day not to do it, but can see him fitting them and will then see metal flying everywhere in the road and containing his ird, vcu and the diff to follow , lol
told him to give me a bit to read through this forum and see what the best AT tyres everyone is fitting and get back to him ,
couldn't believe how many times the tyre question has been asked, have got plenty of reading to do,lol
