cheers mate , will have a read

yes a nice warm heater, quiet, and can go over 50 mph without screaming , lol
I think he's either lost or beginning to see reality. Freelandering is the way forward.

At least our heaters work. :p

Don't mention the stupid plumbing that splits coolant to the IRD though.

On topic though, I think this is the best thread to describe problems of mismatched tyres...

Basically the OP had a well performing Freelander, bought 4 new 'identical' Goodyear Efficientgrip tyres, and after that suffered VCU/transmission up. On closer inspection 2 said 'Goodyear Efficientgrip SUV 4x4' and 2 'Goodyear Efficientgrip SUV'. Switching to 4 'exactly identical' put his Freelander back right again.

Land rover dont think so.:D

when you cut the tires have you compared them to anything else?
Only compared to others cut online.

When talking to a tyre bloke (d2 owner with oft road mods) he said in the 90's they used van tyres as they were thicker. Tyres for our small 4x4 Freelanders are just road tyres with deeper read. They don't have the additional strength. Hence why he see's so many fail.

I'm running GT Radial MaxMiler (195/80R15) tyres on my Freelander - they're van tyres pumped to 40PSI. I chose them because...........

They're cheap!

read through the tyre post , thks for the link hippo

but it seems knowone has got the bridgestone duelers fitted

do find them very good but not tested them off road

would have been nice if someone else had them to see what they were like

seems the latitudes are the favourite , but now time has passed do u guys still think the latitudes are the best you've had

also noticed some have gone from 65 to 70 to just give the hippo a little extra height

currently got 215-65-16 on the hippo and see also some fitting 17 inch rims on the hippos with no adverse effects for extra height without fitting a lift kit

interesting
