North West green laning

I'm interested in having a go at green laning but its not the sort of thing you can just jump in & do alone without experience. i had a Freelander a few yesrs ago & a few guys on here took me out around Holmfirth which was great but after a few trips out I smoked the clutch & that was the end of that!

I've recently got myself a Discovery 300tdi with a few niggles including needing head work that Steve Parker is currently sorting out but once its back on the road I'd like to get out & experience some lanes again. Are there any guys on here that wouldnt mind letting a newbie tag along for the experience?

I'm in Saddleworth so pretty open to travelling to Derbyshire, South Yorks, Peak District etc.

Also are there any active green laning clubs etc within the Nort West that people could recommend?

There's quite a few good lads and lasses on here, me and my friends included that are regularly out in the areas you mention. I'm sure someone will offer to let you tag along soon. Our 'gang, group or whatever we're classed as' are in other regions on the next few outings or you could have come with us. Sorry, full numbers on our next jaunts.

Thanks for the reply David, Id usually keep an eye on the different threads on here but they seem quiet at the moment, hopefully something will come up after these next few weeks when my Disco is back on the road

Well everything sorted with my Disco now, Steve Parkers did a great job although the cost went up drastically once he'd had chance to take a look at it. If anybody is going out over the coming weeks I'd appreciate being able to tag along?

More people go to wales you can tag along with us wen we next go out probably January now.

We have a Lakes weekend on the 5th and 6th November which you are welcome to join. 10am start both days from Tebay Truck Services
