I have one M8 and the CD Rom just thought it would of been faster to ask here but I'll have a read instead.

easiest way, but quite subtle, so you have to pay attention to your vehicle.

wait until it is dark, or nearly dark.
start engine
turn everything else off that makes a noise (radio, missus etc)
turn fan control to 1, turn heat control to cold, air con off, directed to feet
turn sidelights on

then

slowly turn heat control from cold to hot. as you get to just over half way, you should notice:

1) engine note changes ever so slightly
2) dash lights (speedo in particular) dim slightly for about 1/4 second

If your not sure what you're looking for in terms of 1 & 2 above, go through same routine, but instead of turning heat control, turn heated rear windscreen on. ignore relay click, but you will hear engine note change and see lights dim slightly.

either that, or dismantle the entire dashboard to get to the fan and heater matrix.

Tried that and no differance at all and heaters blow from start cold air.
