So the 11th December 2013, busily minding my own business and stopped at a roundabout I got rear ended by a BMW the driver of which was incredibly shocked to find I'd followed the rules of the great British roundabout and stopped!
Results in bent nas bumper and rear crossmember. And so begins the claim process.
Adrian flux don't have a claims department it gets farmed out to a claims company called ULR. Who then farmed me out to Accident Exchange, who promised in no uncertain terms 'you may use your garage for repairs.'
I got a quote from said garage and the 3rd party who had admitted liability refused labour costs.
So I trot back to ULR, 'please get a second quote to prove initial labour costs were not unreasonable'
Another day off work and another quote later. 3rd party refuse labour costs again.
So now I'm told by Accident Exchange unless I use one of their body shops they have a deal with they will drop my claim!
Again back to ULR I explain my situation and displeasure and that I will not be forced into a cheap and cheerful body shop, only to be told that my option is to claim on my own insurance and scuff up my no claims bonus!
Just in time for my insurance renewal of course!
Needless to say I bet the third party has replaced his 5series write off with a shiny new car while I am driving around with a steering wobble, bent chassis, fubarred wheel bearing.
Seriously disgusted with the whole affair!
Tried contacting Adrian flux direct only to be told their stance isn't much different!
Methinks a trip to CAB, watchdog! Or Rip off Britain next!

have you contacted the flux rep off here? I think its jordan now maybe he can do something for you.

Good luck and keep us informed.

They promise the moon on a stick to get ya money, then leave you to sort the crap out when they are needed! disgusted with this!
My insurance coming up, and looks like Adrian Flux will not be getting the option to quote me.
Please keep us posted, time we all share our name and shame insurance woes.
Hope you get it sorted.

Up until today I've kept the claim off the forum hoping it will be resolved, but after about 8 phone calls (my bill again) I think people should be aware of how this claim where a third party is at fault is going!
And it appears noone is willing to act on my behalf!

Ask for a final response, go to insurance ombudsman

Flux can be total ****e, I only had one vehicle with them as I wanted the A4 certificate-I have zero confidence that without ombudsman they would do anything.

I have contacted the insurance ombudsman who informed me that I had to notify them of a complaint and allow 8weeks for them to act before taking things further.
I have notified them of formal complaint in the process of writing the complaint letter now.

'Ponders inclusion of knicker elastic repairs....'

Do you have legal protection?
It is a separate insurance I used it against elephant as an uninsured loss, speak to CAB and they will explain.

For the record
Elephant are ****e
Flux are notorious
Direct line I hung out to dry with insurance ombudsman and made £600 for years worth of agro

Yes but just cannot get hold of the solicitor who is supposed to be working on my behalf. Again rather disappointed

Phone them up ask them when the solicitor works and when they will contact you, not all solicitors are the same.

Some give a toss, call centre one don't generally.

I will do that now :)

Call centre solicitors are ****e, set them up for when they will contact you-if they repeatedly fail to contact you complaining about solicitors is a waste of time.

BUT

AS it is an insurance product the ombudsman can instuct insurance company to pay solicitors of YOUR choice, normally this is enough of an incentive to get things moving.

You paid your money to have cover, record everything and be like a killer pitbull.

I've dealt with ****e solicitors, ****e companies and ****e insurance-Be relentless

If you stopped at roundabout when the road was clear then its not unusual for someone to rear end you as they don't expect you to stop:)

I refuse to take the landy to anything less than the two garages I was quoted from.
3rd party still currently digging their heels in so I have just been informed
I've waited 11days for a day or two off and they've all totally wrecked my day off mood
