My Adrian Flux/ULR insurance claim woes!

My insurance is due at the beginning of April. I always shop around, but AF definitely won't be getting a look-in. Really bad service, and so unbelievably short sighted of them:mad::mad:

Hope you win, and win well:tea:

I currently have 3 policies with A/F and looking at taking out a 4th in the near future... I think they have just lost 4 policies in one fowl swoop here :(

Poor show adrian-####s-you

Yup nada!
No response to the letters from any party

Once the eight weeks have passed and you haven’t received a response from them, you can get on with the Ombudsman Service so you should at least find out why they've ignored your letters ... some civility from them wouldn't go amiss ...

Motor claims aren't my particular bag. Some advice in this thread is sensible. First thing, complaint to your Insurer and/or broker. In most cases, a complaint is ANY expression of dissatisfaction.

If they cannot resolve your issues they are required to issue a final decision. The final decision letter should then set out your rights to go to FOS (ombudsman).

There has been a shake up in motor insurance. Essentially there has been a lot of smelly stuff hitting a big whirly thing in respect of referral fees and also the use of preferred repairers.

One last thing you might want to look in to is a thing known as TCF. This is an initiative that was introduced by FOS. TCF is treating the customer fairly, it means your insurer should treat you the same as everybody else mind you if they treat them all badly then you have nothing to complain about. Sorry that's how it is.

HTH

another member who won't be renewing with AF next time.

I should have left this year but they auto renewed and i was away for work.

Ill make the effort on your behalf now pop's, boll*cks to them. ****ers

I wish you the best of luck and i hope you take them to court for loss of earnings, hire car, etc etc. See how they like to get shafted!

Moves are in play, while it may seem nothing is happening on this thread, I can asure you that things are happening. The ombudsmen has been notified and lega action is certainly an avenue to look at pursuing if ombudsmen doesn't resolve this.

once again good luck poppy and with a bit of luck this will be all sorted soon but I wont ever be insuring with flux again they messed me about with my 2a when I rolled it and said I want the insurance paused and created more headaches than solutions

FAO Adrian flux reps: I've insured my LR with Admiral, a REPUTABLE company who i have been with before and were happy to accommodate me. A sale you may well have had if you could sort out a claim for a member more quickly.

Never insured with Flux, but I did once ring them for a quote. And I found them incredibly unhelpful, apparently the fact that my 25 year old 90 was used for business as well as pleasure use was a major issue, and they would be unable to supply competitive quotes. It doesn't seem to be an issue at all for my present insurer.
My suspicion is that the real agenda was that as a fifty year old, with full protected no claims and a clean licence, there was little money to be made from me, and that thy would prefer to be milking a twenty one year old with an expensive vehicle.
