Have you created a new account to post about it? Why not use the one you created last time?

I have this app on my phone and never used it until last week as I needed a throttle cable and speedo cable. Don't really trust websites for stuff as you have no comeback. But they were cheap parts so thought I would give it a go!

Parts arrived in all makes 4x4 packets so I thought brilliant! They have turned up lol and they are not ****part.

Went to fit the spedo and the square drive that goes on tranny is too big for the hole!! FFS

Went to fit the throttle cable and there isn't enough cable to reach the pump. This was on full adjustment and if I fitted it, it would be on half throttle on idle!!

Now from my experience I would NOT use them every again!! It's a shame really but they are absolutely useless and could not even make them fit! Some parts you buy don't fit well but at least they fit!!

Just thought I would share this with peeps before they waste there money!!!
.

IGNORE THIS POST AS APPARENTLY THE APP IS SHYTE!! If it hasn`t risen its head already? There is good App called LR-Parts, all models listed with part numbers / costs and the most important - Pictures!!

Well i'll say Thank you all the same. Didn't know the App existed, now got it installed, looks like it might help in identifying part numbers. I probably wont buy from them, but, it looks like it could have some use. :)

no worries I thought it was useful too but i`m guessing by the feedback that people have been stung by them before or someone who was on here previously was a bit of a c**k with spamming stuff like this.

If I remember there are two types of cable a two Two-piece type and a long and short type proberly operator error when he orderd I've orderd parts and had no problems if you look the choice is yours crap part , half crap parts or oem so what's the problem operator error :)

Wow, OK, so I never thought that a single thread would make me join a forum, but I guess seeing a nice big bold red sentence calling our app "shyte" has forced my hand.

So, nearly 2 years, 40,000 downloads and 2,000 mobile orders later, one person receives parts he claims are no good and suddenly our lovingly crafted app is rubbish.

10,000 part numbers catalogued with full categorisation, fitment data and illustrations to help navigate tricky areas with a basket and checkout. That's what the app is.

Nothing. That's what the app costs.

If an app crashes on you, fair enough. If an app deletes everything off your iphone and renders it unusable, fair enough. But an app being criticised for a product quality issue? I bought a faulty hard drive off the amazon app the other day but I wouldn't go onto a hard drive forum and tell people that the Amazon app is shyte.
Sorry if I come across a bit precious over my app, but it took me long enough to conceive and build.
To anyone reading this being put off by this thread, please look at these previous posts about the app on this forum:
http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f16/landroverparts-com-135064-3.html
http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/lr-parts-iphone-app-138355.html

Alternatively, p.145 of LRO August 2011. Peter Skilton gives a 5 month usage review of our free app, right next to an inclinometer app that costs 69p.

oh, and in response to customer comments there is an android version of it too now, downloaded nearly 10,000 times.

Hi Mike

I changed my original post to be sarcastic to the negative response I received from posting something that thought was useful to others and myself.
I have now deleted the comment
