Hi, I've just got myself disco 300tdi ( aka the beast) I want to put a lift kit on it, witch kit is the best as I don't want to compromise the the handling. I only want a 2inch lift as I use the car everyday, and is it as simple as just changing the springs an shocks?
Any info on this would be appreciated:)

Yes, I want some big all terrain tyres on the standard alloys, that was my next question, how big can I go on tyres.

The tyres conundrum is an old questions. There is a sticky on the Discovery specific forum. As for the lift kit, My first Disco 300 had +2" spacers front and rear. Not only are they cheaper but you can also use the standard shock so you save there too. I removed the anti roll bars on it aswell so I had a bit more axle articulation. I drove it from Essex to Devon to visit the oldies no problems. My seconed and current Disco 300 I have just fitted +2" springs and shocks. They happened to be HD springs. The ride is a bit bumpier which I am used to as I also own a slammed MK1 VW Caddy. I have also removed the anti roll bars on this one. I haven't taken ot iff road to see how she does. But it's a tried and tested modificaion and shouldn't cause you any problems. As for tyres it's entirley up to you but 265/75/16 will give you a slightly taller profile. Failing that, get some 15" modulars and the world is your oyster.

Hahaha, well all I want really is to pick the diff's up a bit, but I like the idea of spacers an removal of the anti roll bars, I use the car everyday so should I remove the anti roll bars?

Lift kit goes on the axle so won't lift the diff. Bigger wheels lift the axle up due to extra height

ARBs I would leave on if its an everyday car. You'll get some extra articulation with them off but how often do you plan to do extreme off road?

It's only going to be mild off road car as it is my every day car, I want a lift kit as it looks cool and so I can get bigger tyres to lift the diff 's up a little, I just need advice on which way to go, I think I going with the 2inch block spacers, wheel spacers and some big all terrain boots. It's just the tyres I worry about as they cost a lot soon anyone who has done a similar modification I could do with a lil tyre advice

If you just fit spacers or taller springs it will effect the handling ,some people dont seem to mind to much.I think there is a post on here that answers your questions. As for tyre size it depends
on how far you want to go my Disco has 325 70 16s but it's had a few mods done.

Soo I think I have decided just to fit suspension spacers (2 inch), 30mm wheel spacers and some 265/70R16 MALATESTA KOBRA NT tyres, what else do I need to change when fitting the suspension spacers? Advice is really appreciated
