Morning ALL.
Tomorrow I am apparently going to break the laws of physics.
Herself has agreed to an appointment for her Deranged mother at the hospital to have the leg wound treated at 10AM.
The journey is 45 minutes minimum. She says she cannot get her Mother up and dressed and out the house by 09:15.
When I say "Well you are wasting everyone's time then, why did you agree to a 10:00 AM slot?". I am greeted with scowls.
My milk of human kindness has gone sour I am afraid.
Have a good day.![]()
I am reliably informed that saidYeah, easy, start earlier ...
Life advice, dished freely with a smile ...
I am reliably informed that saidcabbagebaggage will not comply, refuses to be helped to dress etc. etc. So getting her clad breakfasted AND out the door AND down the path into the car by 09:15 is a huge task. The hospital could offer no other "no waiting" timeslot and I am therefore betwixt a rock and a hard place. I get it in the neck for pointing out that the timetable does not match the tasks at hand and that it means she needs to chivvy her mother along with an early start. "She won't comply, I can only do so much" doesn't really help me at all. It's not my Mother and I am beginning to lose patience with this patient.![]()
Very sensible. Why we are pandering to the old gal I do not know. She's ripped off every bandage on her leg-wound and the infection is getting worse & worse. We've all tried telling her (Us, District Nurse, hospital) that she needs to leave it alone but she is Ga-Ga and forgets why there is a dressing on there. Personally, I think it is time she was in a home under 24x7 care, but it's not my Mum and not my decision. Take her out of her routine and she is totally "lost". I'm just tired of getting caught in the crossfire is all. That's why I got to Dad's at 05:00 ... even if we have nothing to go out for ... he gets up and the carers come to do breakfast at 06:00 ...
