You wouldn't be the first to have done likewise.
In one bed W and I found we had to put a flipping big piece of plywood under the mattress to make it sleepable on.
Also Soooooo many hotel beds in Frogland have a bedstead which is basically a frame with chicken wire strung across it so you both roll together.
We found a cure for that is to roll up a blanket and put it under the mattress between where we slept.
We once stayed in a Gite and did just that, we went back a year later to find that the blanket we had put there, and forgotten to take out, was still there!
So you dont like to roll together
Must admit I have slept on some floors that were pretty comfy. I like a hard bed

Interestingly they say the Grenadier has omissions and faults, a good start then imo. If Ernie or the Lottery get their act together I'll happily jump the fence.
