Never knew you could glue tiles!!Ta much that side has been challenging to say the least, ive now ran out of slate. Ive got a load which has failed the grading
process so time to do a final count & order some more.
Them states look good qualify good for 100 years loverly job and done with pride
Sounds like you have it all sortedOrdinarily it would seem like a good idea but the Sky+HD box does not cater for any form of dish pointing, or LNB Diseqc switching for that matter, or extra channels outside the Sky channel line-up in a very user friendly way. Having said that it is the functionality of the Sky box which keeps us with Sky, recording two channels at the same time as watching another plus all the catch up services integrated in the planner so they can be recorded to the HDD like a normal recording, to watch at any time. It's hard to beat really and using a receiver without that is like going back to a hand cart in comparison.
Also all three services we are watching, Sky, Kabelio and NOS have their own access cards which can't all be inserted in the same receiver at the same time, so really a dedicated receiver box and dish for each one seems logical, or at least an LNB each if a couple of them can be got on the same dish.
Is that your personal grading process or one you are stuck with from building control or summat?Ta much that side has been challenging to say the least, ive now ran out of slate. Ive got a load which has failed the grading

I know you guys are there all year round so things are differnet for us, but we don't have TV over here. Except that we record a mass of stuff on our Humax box which we bring with us and then we still watch DVDs as we are old skool!Sounds like you have it all sorted

Our new mate has now got 3 butts all connected at the top. It hasn't rained for ages and his gutter only collects off one part of his roof, but in the other night's rain it filled them all up.Its raining and me guttering is wurking.
We also have a big library of dvds we now don't have sat tv but we could if needed we get all the U.K. channels through the net but like you we haven't got square eyes all ways to Mutch to do but we definitely need it in the wintertime to prevent cabin fever and sanity not alot you can do in -10 or -15 but I do try log splitting is my favouriteI know you guys are there all year round so things are differnet for us, but we don't have TV over here. We get news etc over the internet.
Would a normal Humax box work with satellite? As it can record up to 4 channels at once it seems like it might be useful for yous guyz!
Never knew you could glue tiles!!
What sort of person would do that and why?
Question for QI+ I think!!!

Some people used grip fix but only for individual slates as a repair instead of a copper strip a bit easier off a roof ladder but don't last as longNever heard of gluing roof slate, bit of a slippery slope if the glue failed..
That's the trouble if thay get to thin and Dusty thay split through the length in line with the nail hole on removing I did a big job and thay wanted Spanish slates because cheaper so much variation in thicknes had to sort them to the same for each course and lots of defects and soft spots cost more in the long runThanks very much. They are really good slates with a variation of shades which l think is really nice, I might re-do my
wee cottage next year in the same slates. Ive got Welsh slates on atm but they are quite thin so re-dressing them is tricky.
