Happy Friday
Issit a data cable or a power cable. Power cable dun't have as many wires inside. When connected swipe down to see iffit gives yer options. Charge only or file transfer.Well today a I bought a Qilive cable thing to try and connect my phone to my lappy via the USB ont lappy and the plug ont phone.
Samsung 3 5099y.
Tis all plugged in but the lappy doesn't "see" the data folders, although it can do it from my camera and my dash cam.
Back to the flipping drawing board yet again.
Bizzarely I searched around on "Settings" and it seemed to say there was some way I could connect to it wirelessly!
Trust me to have to spend dosh uselessly to find this.
I am so dumb when it comes to tech.
And yes it is a "sync" connector.
Ohhhh ffs we’re out of that stage at present but know yer pain!Doggy landmine on the hall runner this mornin, right up betwixt me toes anorl. Doesn't bode well for the day

(Hexcuse my hignorance.)
I flipped about on the pooter to get to the bit where it says "connect new devices" and it searched for it and said it didn't find it.Issit a data cable or a power cable. Dippypud, you are an ANGEL!I do and have done in the Timpson branch near me who will print them in their little machine ...
I know and I am still grinding my teeth about it.Yup mine had the 1.8 twin carb mgb engine. I got that car for free & it was minted.
Yes I can see the Marina suspension needing modifying if the kit is based on those parts as well, there were some poor compromises in the design. Hope your base wasn't one with lever shock absorbersYes they just needed recommissioning, from what I gather. But it is all the more surprising because classic cars in France go for about twice the price they go for in the UK. I thought of buying one over here but there aren't many I feel would justify the price. I'd like to have one just to run around in over the 6 months we spend here, but we don't have a garage.....
I'd be quite happy with an old Renault 5 or something like it, a Citroen Dyane would be good as they are much, much cheaper than the well-overpriced 2CV. It would save us having to cart W's Citroen Pluriel back and forth.
I don't know what country you ar in but the mention of a Santana make me think eSpain.
A and B series engines are not that hard to get hold of I would have thought and the B series in a Marina is not as good as one from an MGB as the crank isn't so strong.
My Marlin Roadster is a Marina based kit although the suspension is radically altered. As it only has a 4 speed box I'd really like to change it for an MGB so I could replace both engine and box and get MOD. @kevstar 's one had that I think. Quite a few surprisingly built them with the A series engine, and then tuned them, couldn't see the point myself!
But the Pinto 2000 (and maybe the 1600) engines are the sought after ones, and I have one spare plus another cylinder head for if I ever get chance to play!
The suspension was modifed by removing the lever arm suspension and replacing it with the upper A-arm type thing from a Mini, a separate adjustable Spax shock was fitted. The lower torsion bar is retained and great for adjustment.Yes I can see the Marina suspension needing modifying if the kit is based on those parts as well, there were some poor compromises in the design. Second hand cars classic or not tend to be more expensive in Spain and Portugal as well.
The Santana was in Spain. I started a thread with some photos of it a while back and found some more recently, must add them. Long story but I regret selling it really.
I have also tried importing a car into Portugal and the cost was pretty prohibitive, especially since it was only worth about £200. Ultimately I couldn't get it through the MOT, nothing wrong with it except emissions 0.05% over on fast idle and couldn't get it lower which in the end may have been a problem with the exhaust. Then it broke down in Seville and because the MOT had expired I couldn't get it recovered...
