Hello weekend you are very welcomed
I had the same issue and using a separate power supply fixed it...that the Rev counter on the Lathe is a big disappointment.
I've wired it up and it starts up with 4 Zero's (as expected) but when running the lathe it gives random results that are just too erratic for words. Using a separate hand-held laser rev-counter I get rock solid results right where I expect them to be for the chosen gearing. It is very puzzling. I will try a dedicated 12v power supply to the unit instead of the 15v power from the VFD.
Nope, brand new out of the box. If I pass a North-pole of a magnet past it the LED on the sensor blinks (as it should).Don’t know nuffin about lathe rev counters, but could the sensor be dirty?
Indeed, see my previous post. The sensor needs a clean supplyNope, brand new out of the box. If I pass a North-pole of a magnet past it the LED on the sensor blinks (as it should).
It ought to be fine. Maybe the VFD is interfering with it electrically.

Welcome to world of "we don't care about you but as long as it sells...."... that I am shocked that since Grenfell towers ANY window placed in a domestic property that is <1M from the boundary MUST be 30 minute fire resistant.
This is a huge cost uplift. Even IF the neighbours property is >2M from the same boundary. This is NUTS IMHO.
