They use them in some new builds. Pressure test them to make sure they is ok. Am not convinced they is betterer than copper pipe. Cheaper. Copper dun't last foreverer but eye prefer it in castle hippo. Eye has one length of copper pipe that eye knows of. Runs under me dining room floor to the kitchen rad. Eye plan to remove it and drop a new pipe from upstairs into the kitchen instead.
I once had to fit a long copper pipe under a section of wooden floor. It needed to go through joists and I ended up having to cut it into sections and solder it all together.
Nightmare, plus I nearly set fire to some crud under the floor boards.:eek::eek:
I is not a plumberist!!
Plastic was not around then otherwise I'd have used it, plus plastic is quite bendy so the whole job might even have been possible in one length.
House sold a while back and wasn't leaking then!;)

What a waste of time that was, young lady doctor was about 15 😯
Going to get me some physio which is good
I asked about another problem I have with acid reflux and she said I would have to make another appointment as she can only deal with one thing per appointment.
Asked the receptionist could I have another appointment and she said I would have to do it on line,
I don't do on line can I ring up
Yes just ring the surgery
And you will answer the phone I said
Yes me or my companion
Then just pretend I rang up and give me an appointment
Can't she said , you'll have to ring up.
FFS is it me
No, lots of places are like that, I too couldn't get my doctor to discuss another p[roblem despite the fact I am always quick. I think he uses my appointments to catch up on his others. They always run late. Never known a doc see you on time.

Should have stood there in front of her and rang up on yer mobile. :p
The peeps behind him in the queue would have gone mad waiting while the phone that was answered went through the long rigmarole about what you should and shouldn't do then press one for this 2 for that etc until finally you just get the music!!!!;)

Just run my trimmer over what's left of my hair and my beard. There's a lot more white in the offcuts these days:

Getting old.

Now in from slaving over a hot weedwhacker in blazing sun. Shade temp here is a little under 100 F so flipping hot.
Why ddidn't we do it this a.m.?
Cos we slept in.
Will set an alarm tomoz.
Just off to jump in the pool as I am fed up of sweat dropping off my forehead onto my keyboard even though I am sitting indoors in my undercrackers about 1 foot from a fan.
Have a nice evening peeps!
:):):):):)

...today I decided to cover the delaminating plywood of the storage shed with some shiplap.

I got my spacing wrong and so I had to use one extra board. No matter, its all covered up and will eventually be "barn-painted" Satin black. The roof has gone too, so I will just cover it with a twin-wall plastic roof-sheet.
The felt has split and failed and some of the roof has "exploded" from a plywood perspective, so I see no point in repeating this method. Modern "budget mineral felt roofing is as thin as paper and not at all resilient so an impervious plastic sheet can go on top of it all. My knees really hurt from all that squatting. :(
