Especially not in corners where you need it ;)

Just been to Halfords.. wanted to pick up some screen wash and some oil.. checked it was in stock at the right store before i left.
Came out empty handed
Shops complain about business.. you can't spend money if you try

Did you try to reserve it, I think it's a click & collect type thing ?

oops, just realised I bought the wrong Sony stereo! It'd be OK 'cept it is a bit more modern.
BUT the one we wanted has also not sold so we should get that one for £20 plus commission anyway.
Juat have to decide what to do with the spare one. Might put it in the garage!
all good fun!!:):):)
(Leather Parker Knoll suite, three seater settee and two reclining armchairs went for £150. Why look elsewhere?) We didn't want it but still :):):)

There was a piece of overlocked material with it to show it works and a Singer machine is so simple .....
We don't really want it. W has a few miuch more modern machines and I also have an electric Singer but its motor isn't fully on song. So if this one is better it is a win win.
As for the table, well it is a 1950s special sewing table, so no on is interested in it. Ornery furniture goes for firewood prices. a 6 seat dining suite, upholstered chairs with a decent hardwood table, didn't sell at all. Pine doesn't sell unless someone has splashed some paint on it to make it "shabby(tat)chic" then it will go. Certain makes like Ercol sell pretty well. But still pretty cheap. I wish things had been like this when I was trying to furnish my very first house with no money.

All brown furniture, especially Victorian chunky stuff fetches nothing ...

I bought four Edwardian dining chairs for £1 nor that long ago ...

... that I am a little perplexed and also a tad "miffed".
I saw the Chiropractor today and in our preamble chat I re-iterated that my neck still hurt and my sleep was still being disturbed by numb hands and discomfort.
Nothing new, its what I have said from day 1.
But, when I describe the focus of the numbness as Thumb, Forefinger and one side of index finger he suddenly declares "that's C5/C6 interface" and the same nerve area has a connection to your ticker".
Now, I read the initial X-Ray report (same as I assumed he did) and it specifically said C1/" dislocated and C5/C6 out of alignment. So why has he been working on C7/8 all this time?
So today C5/C6 got a good manipulation instead.
Gob-smacked I am.
Sounds battle ships.

... one for the metal-bashers amongst us.
I used to be fearful of bending thick-walled steel tube before my late friend made me a tube bender with a 10-ton bottle-jack.
As you can see..... I now bend tubes with IMPUNITY. :D:D:D

Here is the 25mm x 2mm walled tube fully bent.

At last, a post without stitchin or nittin :cool::cool:
