...that in a surprising turn of events the middle son put a proposal to his ex via his solicitor that is a "deal" that means they don't go to court and she doesn't get discovered for having committed benefit fraud and lying on her court submission papers.
The upshot is that yes he sells the house ASAP, they split the money and I get my loans paid back.
Now, she has "agreed to a deal" before, taken the offered money and then reneged on the deal, so I am not holding my breath.
She has until the 20th of Jan to sign the paperwork and then the court case gets cancelled. Or, she continues to mess about and it all goes to court and everything comes out in the court case including her lies and her false submissions to the court.
It DOES mean that he comes to live with us AND we have the kids (11 & 8) here 50% of the time (not great for us at 70, but needs must). There is now a battle between him and his Mum for the possession of the top floor of the house (the attic) Ha! Ha!

Lets hope she signs the paperwork or gets flattened by a bus. 🤣 🤣

W when working for Toyota and driving her company car ( a Toyota, obvs) across France, was rung up and told she had the wrong insurance and they could not get her the right one for business use. So she asked them what she should do.
"Just don't have an accident" was the reply.
I was furious when I heard. Couldn't organise a party in a brewery.
Is that because she were in france, which weren't covered by toyota uk's insurance policy at the time?

That looks like something has "wood"!!!!

Yes!
Obvious not to her as she assumed the powers that be knew what they were doing.
But it still amazes me that they couldn't get some sort of an extension to their policy.
We often wonder what would have happened had she just parked it up somewhere and continued her journey home by rail!
