Was in orspicle yessid from 1200 to 1700. W had to drive me back, she didn't like having to take me in and then pick me up.
At first my hands felt little different but in not much time I couldn't do anything with my thumbs, the bottom joints having been the ones I most insisted on them injecting. They put me out for all of about 3 minutes but I still have to go through all the rigmarole of post anaesthetic stuff.
I had to have Oramorph to be able to sleep last night.
Did not expect this.
A little better this morning but not much. Seriously wonder how people with no thumbs manage.
At least I can use a pooter. Will have to do paperwork on it this p.m. Booking ferry tickets, preparing the applications for the visas. HATE that job. Grrr!
Frosty and sunny here.
Have a nice afternoon peeps!:):):)

Be quite hard to thumb a lift wiv no thumbs. 🤣🤣

So sorry.....he he yer still laughing. 🤣🤣 Yup im sorry (smirking) ;)

Only gas is my cooker (lpg) & we use a 47kg bottle of gas a year, leccy is Scottish power think its 50 squids a month I shant ask as
its a quiet household atm 🤫 🤣🤣
My phone is vodafone PAYG tenner a month for 7 gigathons & unlimited calls/texts
60 sovs a week atm on coal for heating & hot water, I opened the the two spare rads yesterday as normally the bedroom is cold
with no rad on & another extra one in the living room. :)
Tis -2 outside atm.
Yer can get 8gig fer 7 sovs if yer go wiv no frills companies. They still use the network of the big 4, but dun't offer frills. Eack of the big 4 have no frills oot lets.

So there's 3 sovs a month saved.

I think it was more that the planners who asked for bribes didn't write anything down as of an approval ...

There were undoubtedly planning irregularities and corrupt officials in the late 90s/early 2000s plus some people just built stuff and regarded the resulting fine as part of the construction cost and was cheaper than doing it properly.

This should have been stopped/properly regulated but wasn't and people have been caught up in it often without any knowledge of what went on. Trouble is, in a country with Roman Law rather than Civil Law it doesn't matter if you can prove who did what, as the current owner you are responsible.

Re. the link, building on river beds and in national parks/protected land has always been a no-no and will always be illegal but some idiots, including developers, did it anyway.

Cheap init, ive had the same number for over 20 years on PAYG & I did try a few times to get them to change it on a contract
& I was on the phone for about 2 hours each time, in the end in gave up as it was too much hassle.

Are place was a ruin and in a natural park no new development took us 2yrs to get all the relevant paper work in order was a big night mare despite people saying just go ahead it will be ok we done it by the book and glad we did . Be for joining the EU thay had a purge and demolished lots of homes on the coast without the paperwork the diggers just turned up and the people had to get out 😳😳

It's as well to get the paperwork sorted out properly for security of investment as much as peace of mind.

If yours was a ruin it ought to be safe even in a natural park because presumably it was old. Similar rules apply here, generally anything built before 1975 is untouchable.

I'm guessing being in a natural park is why you have to have solar electricity?

Thats why I never bought land & built a house when I lived in Spain only rented, that's been going on as long as I can remember
id have burnt it down years ago & claimed the insurance. Something about owing the house but not the land & if they want to build a road through your land there's nowt you can do. That's a horrible situation to be in I feel so sorry for them. :(:(
Youd know much more about the laws then me.
Another problem with Spain is its like the US, all the autonomous regions have their own governments, laws and tax regimes which are not necessarily the same.

The 'land grab' thing was quite a risk in Valencia in particular I seem to remember and to add insult to injury if they did grab part of your land to build a road through it, you had to pay for it

In light of today's revelations I should probably clarify my earlier slightly flippant remark re. a pit in a garage when I said planning, what planning... obviously here don't build an illegal structure but if you ask if you can put a pit in they will probably say no or charge you a fortune in tax. If you just do it they probably won't know and won't care. Don't get caught by leaving it outside of a building where they can see it, plus if a child falls in it and its illegal they'll throw the book at you.

Thinking back when I first went to work in Spain, we didnt have a permit to work but I got a arrested as few times & paid them
off, the local police came into the apartment looking for more cash but I hadnt been paid yet so I offered them a big
glass bottle full of coins they had a look around then left in the huff. 🤣 🤣 When I stopped a nightclub owner from
getting a kicking he offered me a job & sorted my permits/paper work out so all good in the end. Didnt much like being in
the back of a plod motor thats all plastic. lol

My mate had a council garage & dug a pit inside it, when he got a letter that they were demolishing the garages he filled it in
then when they were wrecking it they found the concrete slab inside & thought there was a body buried in it. Police everywhere
shut the road off until they dug it up, full of old fiesta xr2 parts 🤣🤣

Eye fort they charge the registered keeper if that person can't confirm who was driving.
I've seen articles about these penalties and even bailiffs turning up.

In this case I was driving, I did cross and I paid a bit late (lots of driving, fell asleep once home). Having paid and not heard anything more I assumed all OK but evidently even a few hours late they will not allocate the payment and call it unpaid. Petty.

They did charge the registered keeper but it was a rental so keeper transferred liability to me and charged me £55 for the privilege.

What staggers me is that this was in September, the charge was not issued until end Oct and the rental company sat on it until December. My post is currently redirected so I was right on the limit of the 28 days when it arrived, at least challenging it freezes the clock.

Fortunately now I've read the rejection letter, the outcome is lenient so maybe my challenge made a difference, I'll pay it and move on 👍

The oldest records we could find where in Italian as Istria at that time was Italian territory thay dated back 250yrs so that was a plus as we could prove its existence .we have no service as being to remote the nearest village is 8klm away and slowly dying 😯
