City E had a 2.9 diff, geared for 120 mph but would only pull about 80 in top same with other diffs, either economy or performance, cant have bothIt was originally a City E which ran like a Swiss watch. When I put the MG Metro engine and gearbox in I kept the E gearbox. If I had kept it any longer I would have put that back in as it had started to whine in top. The E gearbox had a higher diff I think as the E was for "economy" It would have run really nicely like that. When I sold it I included the original engine and box so maybe the new owner did just that.
I'll have to check the reg to see if it is still on the road.
Yours sounds as if it would have driven quite manic! Great fun!
Yes, we had a neighbour who got one of those rather lightly-built sheds that look like a bargain when you see them advertised online, but they are almost as good as children's trampolines when it comes to getting airborne in high winds. His ended up about three gardens away, leaving a trail of garden tools and lengths of hosepipe. That's why I try to build a little heavier up here in the Cambrian mountains because the weather can get quite bracing.
Afternoon folks.
Been on light duties today, When carrying some logs in yesterday I dropped 1, yep of course it landed on my foot.
No issue at the time my foot wasnt on the floor so just carried on. Well I can tell you that at 2am it came back to let me know. couple of pills and managed to get back to sleep, but its a bit painful to walk on today.
I am not one to take pills but I did last night and have had topup today.
M has gone into town with friend to look at/buy bathroom tiles, and bring home take away.
Hope you all survive your wind problem, is it the diet.

Ouch!
The mech who did the company cars back when I was a rep once dropped a Cortina auto gearbox on his instep and yes he was wearing steelies. Lucky not to break anything and limped for quite a while.
So, much sympathy.
Have you squirrel-napped @Hippo 's hazel nut eater?I met a new friend today. A little brown and white fellow jumped out of a bag of tree saplings in my wheelbarrow. It landed on the ground and hopped about on its back legs like a tiny kangaroo and executed a semi circle around me before disappearing into a hedge. I wondered what it was. Jerboas are like that but they're not indigenous to my location. There are various kinds of hopping mice, but they're not supposed to live round here. I think it may have been a wood mouse as they sometimes move like that. He looked very sleek and spruced-up in his little ginger coat with a white underside.
You've obviously done your homework!City E had a 2.9 diff, geared for 120 mph but would only pull about 80 in top same with other diffs, either economy or performance, cant have both
