Apart from having to make a massive detour on the way home as there was stationary traffic from the Horton Inn probably to Wimborne or nearby. the trip back yessdi was good.
The plod didn't have the sense to organise it so that traffic that wanted to go the other way, where the road was empty or, go up it 25 yds then right, off to 3 Legged Cross, which is what most of us were doing as that is the clever way to drive from Shaftesbury to Ferndown etc. all he'd have had to do was to pop a car or two onto the pub car park and we would all have been on our way, but no.
So we had to turn around in said car park and go a long way round to Blandford and back to Wimborne that way.
Bit of a pain and a lot of diesel but, as we agreed, better that than being the poor peeps who had the accident. ;)

Now here's a thing.
Do any of you have better halves that shame you on Christmas day by giving you far, far more presents than you give her, or him?

My missus does this to me year on year. Not just the main ones agreed by both etc, but also I have to have the "Christmas sock" which she made years ago, and comes full of little presents. Then there are also the ones that come "from the dogs". She always swears blind that she hasn't spent more on me than I have on her. My biggest problem being that I hardly ever know what to get her.

But yessdi I had a real result. We had time before lunch to go in a shop she has always wanted to enter. It sells crystal jewellery but that means cheaper stones than diamonds, stuff like amethysts, not flipping tin hat stuff. So she noticed a 50% reduction on pendants, all good. by the time she had finished there was a galaxy of stuff sitting on the counter just waiting to be packaged up.
The assistant did her stuff with the calculator at which point I gently said, "I'll take that!".
Whoopee! :vb-banana::vb-banana::vb-banana::vb-bouncy2::vb-bouncy3::vb-bouncy:
Nothing like knowing I've got her stuff she really wants. All mounted in silver as she has allergy to base metals. And not cheapo stuff neeva!

Still wish I had a more reliable method, even asking her dottir doesn't work..

Ah yeah 2 of his favorite DIY things in 1;).
Its an easy thing when you know and I actually have to agree with Stan on his comment of the young plumbing not really knowing. Put in a new system he would probably have no issue, but hasnt the knowledge that is built up for older systems, possibly similar issue with the leccy guy.

I am revelling in the fact that the electronic element of control over the valve has been eliminated. By watching it and controlling parts of the system manually I have got on top of it.
I will eventually get to the bottom of how the old motorised valve worked and how the new one works, or ones like it, to be able to convert a new one. I seriously think they must have changed.
Whatever, some testing is going to be called for. Don't have the time for playing now.;)

Afternoon folks :).

Well I am all new carded up for 10yrs, as long as I am good they wont chuck me out:banana: .

Some more wood in the porch and probably get another trailer load tomorrow to be full again.

So a question.
The brown boards in trailers and some of the little scaffold tower boards, looks like some sort of impregnated ply. Does anybody know what its actually called??
Our little trailer has it and it has developed a split/hump so will need changing but not really sure what to goggle:).

J
Try shuttering boards we get yellow ply impregnated and water proof it is very strong and dont expand and contract ???

Yes. But as I am shameless, ------- :p

It is an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm as in the main blood vessel out from the heart heading off down to your hips/legs and all points South. An aneurysm is when the vessel goes soft like failed sausage balloon and expands. If it bursts you are Dead-ed in 30 Seconds. All men in England get scanned at age 64 to see if they have a problem. Sadly I do have a problem.
My poor BIL died when his burst 7 months before his 64th birthday. :(

Bloody hell, what do they do to fix this. Also if you have a problem why do they wait for so long to do something about it.
