I keep landy bits for ages then decide why hold on to stuff then I get rid & find I need some of them 🤣 🤣
Always happens..
You are not the only one. At least W tends not to set foot in the garage so I can at least hang onto stuff that otherwise I might have to get rid of.
I've got a 4 speed Cortina gearbox, if that is any use?! 🤣 🤣 Or a rather suspect Dolmite Sprint MOD one. (Stored outside with no ATF in for YEARS!)
Joking apart, best of luck sorting it! ;):)

I have been freezing my nethers off in my little workshop.
It is tedious making ring-plates 42mm ID 62mm OD out of 3mm sheet steel on a lathe.
Lots of operations for very little progress, but we got there. :D

This is the result below. A Two Wheel Drive (2WD) unit for a pedal car racer. Itcan have any 10Spd cassette mounted to it and it is compact and pretty lightweight. Those are all the main parts all stacked together and held there by gravity. Some bits get welded together (bottom 3 elements) but the top 2 are bolted to the rest with small M5 bolts locking the upper and lower rings together and fitting in between the teeth of the sprocket you can just see sandwiched between the 2 ring-plates.
I am pleased with how it has come out. :)

It's no use me pretending to know what it is but it does look nice. :)
