Eye hassa 5.5mm diameter hole in somefink which needs the hole opening up so its centre is moved 3mm along. Last time eye tried to drill anuvva hole inner hole eye nearly lost me finger. Tis 1.6mm steel. Gittid 10 holes to do. New holes is 5.5mm diameter anorl. Wot would be yer preferred method?

Piller drill and 5.5mm bit un clamp metal tight. Take it slow and hope a sharp bit bites frew?

Use a side cutting bit?
I would thing that the safest and most accurate way to do it would be to put a thicker piece of sheet steel over the top of the existing hole, clamp them firmly together and then centre punch where the centre of the hole of the preferred size should be on the top piece and drill the hole the thicker piece on top, and the firm clamping will stop the drillbit "wandering" and the new larger hole will encompass all of the smaller one.

Alternatively, mig-weld the existing hole shut, dress the metal off, and try again.

This.
Or drill your new hole in a scrap piece, clamp that over your original, where you want it to be, then run the drill through the scrap piece into your original. The scrap will keep the drill true.

Sun shining here.
W happy more or less as she won the tomfoolery she wanted, we didn't get the big painting, still the rather big chest of drawers she has insisted would be a good replacement for the stereo unit/stand we currently have.
Sadly I think we will "win " it.

I'll let you all know what the bikes went for, they are the last two lots and the auction is still ongoing.
Have a good day folks.:):):)

Nice.
I go for a more ‘all terrain’ tyre as I do a bit of farm work too. I run the GO15’s on the F1, so thought I’d try something different on the F2 and ordered Wildpeaks.
Let me know how they go. I went for michellin as I know they are good and didn't have time to have a look around at the time. But let me know how they go:) send pix

Well you can have a normal pic, or a photo-bombed one…
