Yes its quite shocking how much is used even when careful. I fitted a water meter on the outlet pipe from the tank so we can monitor how much we're getting through without having to keep looking in the tank. We are very careful and recycle a lot of water but it goes too quickly for my liking. There's not a lot of stored rain water left and I noticed today that the well's output time has declined by another minute.
Totally agree you start getting a phobia about it and looking for leaking every where 😠

That sounds a bit dodgy, there was a load of trouble here a couple of years ago when people realised that the air being pushed through, and compressed in the process, was spinning water meters at very high speed. A few people got bills of up to €60,000 on the strength of it and were fighting it.

I have wondered about that myself before, funny enough I actually went to check our meter the other day when air was coming through, Nope not turning:).

Yes stop going out and treating the GF to your company, get some proper pics man:D.

I hope the convo with DVLA goes well, it is worth a year related plate if he has the proof, wish him luck... but only if we get more pics;).

Getting rid of a Q is notoriously difficult cos if it didn't need a Q in the first place why would it not need one now?
Peeps like kit car builders, rod and custom guys all fall over themselves to avoid them.
Still, crossed fingers, they might come across a decent human being.

Been hot/ very warm again all day here today.
We had a big lunch today so we can go out to hear some jazz about an hour away this evening. So apart from climing around on the roof to remove Virginia creeper fromt eh bedroom window and w's brand new mossy screen, plus fiddling around for ages trying to find a way to affix my Tomtom in the Disco cos the stoopid sucker thing has given up the ghost, didn't do much except enjoy the day.
Oh and we made another load of jam, plum this time.
ITime to feed the dogs and make sure W is awake and functionning!
Have a good evening!

Little bit of silicone on the sucker can always remove it later with a razor blade

Spoke with my eldest son yesterday after he shared with me a video of him chasing teens away from his property with a sledgehammer handle in his hand (as seen on a neighbours security Cam).
Apparently, there's a lot of "nuisance" behaviour occurring in his little enclave.
The halfway house drug & alcohol rehab centre opened just a short way away hasn't helped boost the local street-scene as now there is aggressive begging and petty-theft as well as raids on the local Sainsbury's for armfuls of liquor.
My advice was to stay safe indoors else be painted as the aggressor as these were only kids playing "knock-down-Ginger". He agrees and has installed Surveillance cameras.
