Raining here, so this has stopped play in the mudhole.
W coming back today so at least this will give me time to straighten the place up a bit. At least there is only a tiny amount of washing up to do.

Eye has fallen oot wiv me garage roof. When rain water falls onnit it dun't go in me water butts. They take far too long to fill up which makes me fink we is losing water. Eye has tipped water int guttering to see wot happens when it fills no 1 water butt. It will flow to no 2. But after the rain we had yesdi that started just before eye left for wuk, no 2 ain't filled up. No 1 was alread full. Its a corrugated roof wiv moss onnit. Last nite eye started to knock some of the moss oft. Also washed oot the guttering. Did notice some water dun't drain oot ovvit. It did before. Its as if me garage has tipped the other way. Finking of filling it wiv a bit of water to see how much flows the wrong way and settles. The rain yesdi was small drop but a lot ovvit and constant.

Does sound a bit weird.
Have you put a long spirit level on your gutter to see where it is sloping, if at all?
I take it your butts are connected at the top end of them?
Good idea to take the moss off, it can block things.

Not seen me squirrel ferra few days. It's back this morning. 4th nut already. Another one came down me drive. Climbed the fence un went on me garage. Eye opened me top window to prepare to drop a nut oot burrit scared him oft. Friendly one has just eatid the fith nut on me patio then came back for his 6th wiv me still at the door. Taken that under me naybors fence. This be llive news. Keep putting me fone down to go oot to feed him. So this post has taken a while to type up.

Yup all connections are at the top. Eye will top up me water butts above the taps at the bottom to see if they could be leaking. No sign ovvit so eye ruled it oot but yer never know.

In with all the work I am doing at the moment with the septic tank, I am pumping water from our undergound rain collecting tank, which is of the same design and next to it.
So I have the lid open a bit. Yessdi or the day before, just after all the rain filled it up I noticed I think three bits of moss floating in it.
So these had come off the roof, along the gutter, down the down pipe and along the underground pipes until they ended up in the tank. Quite surprising. They were floating, just. so i have to assume that they either end up going out of the overflow or rotting down and the bits sinking to the bottom. At least they never clog the pump.
Now I has me Karcher I might find myself getting up on the roof and spraying them off! I'll have to block the gutter down pipefirst though!

You are right, we had one tap connector go fubar, and they are a pain to fix as you need 6 foot long arms!

W heard last night that one of our grandsons proposed to his GF 2 months ago. (why no one told us I don't know!) So although 4 out of the 6 are living with a partner their's will be the first wedding. Quite looking forward to it!
(The other two are still in school and don't even have a GF or a BF as far as we can tell!)
W went to a car show while in Blighty. She only took pics of one car, a thing called a Coventry Mawdslay. Looks like a big beast with a straight six engine or maybe a straight 8 made by combining two four pots, but the pics she sent me were not very big at all. The exhausts I suppose could have been somewhat Siamesed.


Anyway, there you go!
