What's the name of these tabs? They could be just what I need for mine but many of the things on the market that I know of are strictly not for Collie breeds.
Found it! In French obvs, Bravecto.
Dunno if they do them in the UK but I'll have a dig!

Yup you can get them and they seem to be cheaper, but that is only online and your vet may not be too happy with that.

you'll see the name of the main ingredient in the blurb, so maybe there are other makes that contain the same thing.
Best of luck!

I think Bravecto is available here as a spot-on BUT I think it is one of the ones that is not suitable for Collie breeds. I will need to do some research on the modern theories about tic treatments.

I've got a large number of the Villedieu pans etc and yes, they do take a lot of upkeep BUT the quickest way I have found is putting them in the dishwasher! They come out beautifully clean and shiny but always make sure that all water droplets have been towelled off as leaving them causes staining. Most of mine have been acquired over a number of years and they are mosty lined with ?? (I can't remember the metal at the moment) which has lasted for years, However, in Villedieu, this is now not used to line pans and the last one I bought is lined with s/s - it was very costly but does work. Copper pans are lovely to cook in though.
I didn't know that Villedieu was no longer tinning them. That is interesting. There must be some elf n safety issue.
As you say, they are fab to cook in, which I think is why so many pros use them.

Our posts obviously crossed as the other one shopws the tabs in the UK.
but if they are bad for collies I'm sorry about that, as they are certainly "fit and forget".
Apparently safe to use in collies with "

In a well-controlled laboratory study, BRAVECTO was shown to be safe in collies known to be MDR-1 gene deficient. Collies with the defect were administered 3 times the deliverable dose and had no adverse events.10"

This comes from the Bravecto website.

Re the dishwasher, you really are braver than me!

Thanks for that I will have a word with my vet when I get the next prescription from him. The tablet that one of mine is on daily is £3 per daily tablet and I have seen them for £7 each when they are in short supply!!! It was my vet who told me to go online to see if I could get them any cheaper than his supplier charged.
