Building plans man has been to see us with the plans for the addition of a window into the Dining room wall.
£276 to the Council for the building notice and £150 to him.
Whereas, If I had kept with my original 1.8m x 1.0m window it would have needed "full planning permission". So, I said drop it to 1.8M x 50cm so it can just be done as a building notice as the window area is <1Sqm. <- Success #1.
As I pointed out that the previously passed plans from 20 years ago say there is 1M between me and the boundary line I now do NOT have to insert a 30 minute fireproof window (£1500) which he had previously said I would have to have. <- Success #2

It might transpire at some point in the future that this little window falls out and a few extra building blocks go with it and the original 1.8 x 1m window reappears.... who knows? :)

OK, I give up!

How on earth do you separate a 40mm push-fit FloPlast connector?

Neither I nor the guy in Scroofix could work it out.
I'd experiment if I had lots of spare 40mm pipe, but I don't. No collet no collar except one that just seems to turn, very reluctant to trial fit one on a bit of pipe just to find out,
@brianp38dse is you there?:(

What is it you are doing is the fitting like this as you dont separate them

For the youngsters amongst us a rubber is now known as an eraser due to the modern use of the 'old' word to describe an item used by gentlemen to try to prevent conception.
Trust dear old Stan to confuse the meanings. :)
Ooooh Matron!!!
Just didn't want the Merkins getting confused!!!
And they still use that term for that today.
Am I not right @Western Slope Rover?

But if you had said "pencils".........

(A half-american, half-Irish flatmate of mine nearly got thrown out of a stationers in the US for going in there and asking for a rubber. Eventually the store manager diffused the situation by explaining to the assistant that "Limeys say this when they mean an eeerazer!") He didn't live there until he was about 14.

Ta mate! That exact type just a straight connector.
Well yes, once together they would be permanent but I wanted to trial fit.
Looks like this is now out of the question.:(
Oh phooey!!!
The old waste comes into the house behind the unit and I have very little room to fit anything unless I make a wider hole than I want to in the back of it. I'd hate to put the fitting on the existing waste, fiddle around getting the rest of the undersink waste right then shove my pipe through the hole to connect it and find it was wrong under the sink.
As a person who finds thinking in 3D very hard, I'll have to think a lot harder.
Or else stop overthinking it and just get on and do the flipping job!

I do wonder why the stoopid collar rotates then. :(

But thanks for your help!
JUST HAD A GREAT IDEA!!!
Hoick out the O rings, trial fit to my hearts content till I am sure it is right, then replace the O rings and put it all together.

Took me long enough, I bet by the time I have posted this someone else will have thought of it!!

Cheers mate!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

It’s a push fit rubber seal.
Very difficult, fairy lip squid twist an pull.

They are just push fit, you just pull the pipe out they dont lock or anything like that, the main problem with them is the pipes can move and come apart some times.

Is it raining where you are now? And have you sorted the roof out on the MH yet? Do hope so.:):):)
It has rained non-stop all day.

The MH is now at the dealer's being stored under cover by them until they can find some time to deal with it. Unfortunately, the workshop is fully booked up until April but the lady-in-charge reminded them that left for that length of time in the condition it is then it would be totally ruined!!! I strongly believe that the HM manufacturer is already 'on their case' about dealing with customers problems. Time will reveal all!!!!!!

Sorry to hear this.
They could of course stop rain getting in if they put a tarp over it, even if it didn't cover the whole vehicle, just the roof and a couple or three feet down. There would be condensation but wouldn't be as bad as rain coming in, and it isn't beyond the wit of man to open it up on dry days or to put a dehumidifier in.
Do hope they wake up and smell the coffee.🤞

EDIT just seen you said "under cover" so it should not get any wetter but it does need to be dried out, I do get that. Last thing you want is mildew. mould etc destroying your fittings. Do hope they sort it out. 🤞 🤞

The "coming apart sometimes" rather negates how they are supposed to work or so I'd have thought, but as there will only be one or two connections in a very short pipe run under a sink before the final pipe which goes out of the building I am not worrying about movement.

Thanks again for all clarification.
You would have thort they'd put this on their website, but maybe not.
"Caution these blessed things can come apart sometimes!!!"🤣🤣🤣
