I am old enough to remember cars with only 3 forward gears. In fact my first ever driving lesson was in one!Why only 3 did one fall out.

Are you sure it was that one? There's only two we know that are still alive from the original testing done mid 90's. The one pictured above lives at the Dunsfold collection Trust fing.
