I've got some sawdust on it already. I've wanted a cordless hand-held circular saw for a while. I also like the rear handled design and the fact that the motor is to the right of the blade on this model - it's easier to keep an eye on what you're cutting. More of an American style.

Our American cousins seem to be in a much better position with regard to circular saws than we are in the UK. The so-called 'worm drive' saw is popular there, yet virtually unobtainable over here. One day I'm hoping to have one of those things with a small chainsaw bar projecting below, rather than a circular saw blade - a so called 'beam saw' - which will be handy for timber framing jobs. But that's far into the future. However, I'm well fixed up for this summer's shed building in remote locations where it's hard to lug a generator.

Hope you got a spare batt, my old Dewalt seems to eat them.
Having the entire left side clear would make it easier to use guides, like straight bits of timber etc. Which at least mine does.

The sun is shining at the mo!!!!! Shock horror had forgotten what it looks like.
Nice neighbours are moving today, I think.
They have just put their car on our drive, presumably to help the coming and going of vans, at least they have no shortage of them.
We'll miss them.

Off to see the only private eNT specialist for miles around this arvo. £320 just to talk to him.
And weirdly, perhaps due MAYBE to the taking of the antibiotics designed to reduce the stuff in her stomach so the next visit to the interior of her lower colon is more productive, her sinuses' symptoms have much reduced! So we will be talking historical stuff here!

Sinucerely hope this isn't going to be a waste of time and munny!!

Bloody ebay fees it depends where he's listed it as well, if under diy workshop tools its only 3% of the total price plus 30p
Other sections are 12.8%. You got a good deal with the chap moving it. Happy dayz

Splashing the cash I see v-very nice. All my tools are dewalt, no point buying anything else as everyone in the yard uses the same.
so never stuck for batteries

Been out doing a wee bit of making some sawdust too, tools covered up as its showery so a wee coffee n back oot.

Yes, I've got a few Milwaukee 18 volt batteries. They seem to last reasonably well. I'm still using some that came with my impact wrench nearly eleven years ago. When I'm in Wales they charge up off the solar system very nicely, so there's always a fresh one when I need it.

I've not succeeded in wearing any Milwaukee tools out yet, so I keep on buying them. I'm trying to acquire tools that will last as long as I will nowadays. I've had a few De Walts in my time (or the near-identical Elu brand) but they've all expired sadly. The other thing De Walt did that was annoying was changed their battery fitting a few years ago so the older tools don't match the newer batteries. Milwaukee has stayed the same, fortunately.

can you not cancel on ebay and then just pay him, ebay is a rip off these days.. no idea how any of these defender parts i buy off ebay anyone makes profit

Got my Transit Camper swivel seat base back in today, hinged for battery access, room for two spare batteries. Think I'll put inverter at back of seat base with a lead to the sockets in van. Time for a cuppa

Totally furious!
Having booked two ferry tickets for this year following an email from Britney Ferries which says"Upgrade to a flexible ticket at no extra cost" it now turns out my "early bird" tickets are not flexible.

You all know how fiddly it can be booking tickets for a disabled passenger, three dogs, cabins, a 4x4, a trailer etc etc etc. To say nothing of getting the correct times, dates and port.
Normally I would have been careful to tick the "Flexible " box but this time, I thought I didn't need to as after all, it's free, innit?
But no, not ticking a box, for something which they were offering for free, has resulted in them being fixed and non- refundable.
And the first crossing is for the first possible day of our visas so depends on us getting them.
It will be argued that I made a mistake and "tough".
But I have asked them to make this a formal complaint. If this doesn't bear fruit I will mention the Advertising Standards Agency as for once I am actually convinced that the ad type email is misleading. Or very close to it.

Why is going to a private doctor like going to a vet?
Cos not only do you have pay them for the exam etc, you also have to pay for the prescription drugs.

You can see we don't usually do this, as I wasn't aware of it.

Admit to feeling a bit ignorant about this.
Still, better than waiting a year to get an appt with a NHS ENT consultant.

And had to go to three chemists before finding one that can source the three items.

2024 can only improve, I hope.

I fully understand why you have taken this route, As one gets older the length of the NHS waiting list is a much larger proportion of your possible future life expectancy. Money in the bank becomes irrelevant.

Well, as I often say, if doctors were more like vets it would be an improvement in many ways.

Gorrup later than normal this morning and went out shortly after. Been out all day, forgot to get something for me evening meal out of the freezer before I left (still self catering for another day). A brick sized lump of curry flavour ice is now gently thawing out in a pan on low heat.
