A Yorkshire man went to a a monumental mason to get a headstone for his deceased missus. Asked for the words "She was thine" to be carved on it. When he saw the finished job he complained that it read "She was thin", pointing out to the mason he had missed the "e" out. So the mason sent him to the pub and told him to be back in half an hour. On his return, he saw it now read "EEE, she was thin".

I'll get me coat, again.
Can't think why anyone would want "she was thine" on a headstone. Neva mind, slightly amusing!

Grave mistake init 🤣
Somewhere I have a pic of a headstone in a graveyard near a loch not far from you which reads "I told you it was seriousl" or something. If I can find it I'll put it up.

In fact it was "I told you I was ill"

View of a bit of the loch and some other ruin of maybe a castle.

Up late this morning, didn't gerrup until half eight. Bones aching a bit, after a couple of days contorting me bod doing a bit of plumbing in dottir's bathroom. And a couple of rather large whiskies (without an extra 'e') last night. And I've got to undo some of the pipework and take out the brand new bath mixer tap which is faulty. The hot tap does not fully shut off .
