One of the cats has mastered the cat-flap. We haven't seen her for a while now though. 😢
The other one is such a wimp he is too frightened to go outside, but moans about being trapped indoors. Go figure. :)
She's probably waiting outside round the corner for somone to come along and show her how to master the return journey!

I was reading Garys answers and if the vent pipe from the hot water cylinder does not go high enough and drops down to low and the end is in the water it can cycle round and heat the tank up which could make it go out of shape.

Ah ok now there's a thing, you could be spot on there as there is a pipe going through the lid into the tank.
If the cold water wasnt going out the overflow as it was higher than the tank & water level rises the vent pipe
would be in the water.
