I chucked in the amount recommended for our volume of water and it is lovely and clear now. So that worked well, dinit!!I think you need to ask marjon he is clued up on pools
If you were to get in the right frame of mind and convince your self that you enjoy it it would be a doddle on brambles use a systemic weed killer by cutting back thay will grow back much strongerJust come in after two hours battling the hanging gardens of Babylon/brambles.
Not a good idea to try it in shorts and with a shortsleeved shirt on. I barrow full and tons more on the slabs, tis at the sitting end of the swimming pool.
so having a cooling drink before changing into more suitable clothes, tightening up the blades on my favourite secateurs and heading back out to barrow it all away. Thence to weed around the pool.
JEEZ I hate gardening.
This be main reason us ditched us landline. Twuz only that and scam calls. Em only wants smartie meters zo em can charge wot em laike.
Looks tranquilGuid afternoon
Been for a paddle, nothing to exhaustive around an hour on Lochwinnoch, quite tranquil really just me and these bleeding water Lillie's catching on my paddle.

Try salt and vinegarIf only!
That is what we used to do!
And I am only cutting them back to the point were they are not dangerous to our guests, (and us) when using the pool!
BUT systemic weedkillers containing glyphosate are outlawed in Frogland now.
Before, I'd cut them back to about 5 inches off the ground then put drops of Roundup on the ends and they'd be dead for ages.
I have tried to enjoy gardening over a period of years. Never managed it.
Wifey loves it but at the mo is obviously too indiposed to be able to do much. That said she worked a lot today doing similar around the front of the house and the gates where stepson may enter with his campervan that only just makes the gap.
What about Smoky Bacon Flavour?Try salt and vinegar
Maybe wouldn't work as well as my suggestion, could try though. What about Smoky Bacon Flavour?

At £55 a litre I would like to know before I get some to treat the marestail we have in the backI got some of this for Mum &Dad when I was home last time as they have this Mares tails/horse tails and it’s supposedly a right sod to get rid of. It’s coming from next door it’s a right pain.
Must ask how it worked.

There was a crisp factory a couple of miles as the sparrow flies, from the skool I went to. (Yes it was a long time ago). If the wind was blowing in the right direction we could smell what flavour they were making on any day. People who worked there got well fed, any spuds which missed the slicer but went through the roaster got scoffed off the production line. What about Smoky Bacon Flavour?
