Only burning less than a stere per year (we're only here April to September) the work cutting it up is minimal and they don't come thick round here. Dunno why.
But yes cutting up a 18" log would be like a yule log.

20 cubes a year at those prices? wow, that is a lot of dosh! :(
You burn wood April to September!!!?...it's 29c here today a drop from April which had highs of 30's building a carport just now metal is bloody hot...

We changed our log merchant 2yrs ago...ordered 1 ton he turned up with a huge pile in the truck I only wanted 1 ton it was 1 ton of perfectly seasoned oak cut to fit the stove lasted the whole winter and as wood burner has a flat top did most of our cooking on it never mind heating the whole house...he keeps it covered and dry unlike some here who water it before weighing it...cost was 160€...
That's a result I bet you use him all the time now same in the UK the coal merchants used to hose the heaps to ad weight

Is it just me or have the Defender prices plateaued?.
When lr came oot with the special last editions prices went mad. Lr can sell limited editions for 65k sovs but that dunt mean yer average tratter has gone up significantly anorl. Lr would buy back nearly new tratters for more than originally sold. 10k sovs being the highest. Stooopid tratterers thought their heaps were worth the same amount. Lots advertised at daft prices but yer dunt know if they sold and what for. So its difficult to know how far prices went up, and therefore dropped.

Eye fort it weren't road legal as a repair requires inspection of the inside of a tyre int uk.
It's legal, but the tyre association.. whatever is called.. doesn't permit it's members (true garages etc) to use them.
You as a private individual can use them because you're not a member and not doing it for a living.
They advise you should get one of their 'proper' repairs done as soon as possible

It were the mod on ere who did roadside rac type wuk that said yer can't use em. Fergottid his name as he int bin on fer years. Devon or cornish.

Are there regs confirming they is ok to use? Tyre repair regs apply to all tyres used on the road. Not just thems in a certain repair club.

Sorry that's nota good link. They talk about what's legal and what's not, then they say it's ok.
All regulations relate to the supply of a tyre, either new or part worn

That link ses yer can do a tyre string repair from the oot side but later on ses it should only be seen as a get me home repair, temporary fix.
