Well, got to docs for emergency appt.
He had a look at my hand, made an application for an appt for an X-ray, said no he wasn't prepared to discuss another non-emergency situation, make another appt. Fair enough.
Went into the reception area, stood and waited for one of the staff to sit down behind the counter so I could make said appt and before she arrived another wimmins at the head of the other queue for those coming into the surgery started having a go, feeling I should stand in the queue behind her.
I just said to her "I have just been told to do this by the doctor, I do not know what the protocol here is."
Which I felt was well-controlled for me!
The two wimmins behind the counter didn't bat an eyelid, obvs. ;)
(Got an appt for the 18th )
Felt quite pleased with myself, for once, as I don't do arguments with others well. I tend to either ignore or go off on one.
No rheostat, just an on/off switch!!
Enjoy the rest of the day folks!:):):)

Back in the day, I was never/rarely ill and on the first occasion I truly needed to see the quack I made an appointment and pitched up just prior to the allotted time and sat there for ages wondering why people that had come in after me were getting called/seen and I wasn't. after about 40 minutes I queried it with the front desk and they said "you have to tell us that you are here".
I responded with "I have not seen a Doctor in 10 years or more, how am I supposed to know that? Where is the sign saying 'report to reception' in the foyer here?
Answer, "Ahhh... there isn't one."
"So how am I to know that when you tell me I have an appointment at 10:15, and you don't actually tell me that I need to report in to the reception on arrival that that is what I am supposed to do?".

I guess if you are a regular malingerer you get to know these things., but if you are a novice/stoic you don't unless they actually tell you. :)

In our surgery there is a monitor where you register you are present. There is a big sign next to reception telling you to use said screen. I did not notice either and got told off by the receptionist :)

Afternoon folks:).

Been a lovely couple of sunny days here, we haven't had the fire on:). But today we have wimped out and I have just set fire to some sticks.

So after reading through yesterdays "English" lesson:eek:, All I can say is, it goes in the washing machine then the tumble drier sod all this hanging out 1 thing but yet you have to hang out 2 as its a pair or plural:eek:.
But my biggest question is what are these knickers peeps keep talking about:p.

But then if that is the only problem in peeps life things must be going pretty good overall;).

Just getting out of the wheelchair is great, actually being missed and wanted at work really helps too!

Is that getting out to walk a bit?
As much as I don't share the excitement of going back to work, I can understand the lift you get from the feeling of being missed, and if it helps motivate you then I am all for it:):).

There's always a naughty thought when somebody says they got told off by a nurse sexertary receptionist ;).

If I could I would!
Only one finger on that hand works perfectly the rest are either damaged, have lost feeling and/or are arthuritic.
So yes, I'd like a noo hand please.
Then I could go back to playing the guitar as well, which I really miss.:(:(
