So if you buy stuff in rather than building it yourself, where do the leaks come from? The connections?No but it may leak rf hence getting the spectrum analyser

Yes it is normally poor connections etc. As a foundation licence holder I cannot build a transmitter but I can build an aerial. This is where the problems can begin! Me dad covered all the ceilings downstairs and above the stairs wiv polystyreen when eye were a nipper. Bort too much glue so used up as much as he could on the tiles. Many years later when eye tried to gerrit all down eye had ter plaster the ceiling as the glue was rock ard and wouldn't sand oft. Chipping it oft took part of the ceiling wivvit.
