Bloody rain defeated the roof last night and I’ve got a leak to repair. Where the two aspects intersect require pointing, a job I should’ve tackled this year. That said, I’ve not seen either the rain come in from that direction or as hard since getting lumbered, sorry moving into this hell hole, sorry house.

Yer ive been hanging aboot too, waiting on the glass for the fire. The fire is lite so I aint
doing it today. tbh I aint looking forward to it the screws look like a nightmare plus they
have been in for 10 years

Went out for a meal yesterday to a local golf club
Small whole carrots were not topped and tailed and had obviously been kept warm for some time, lacked taste and were dry
Two very thick slices of Beef were done but tough and chewy
Roast potatoes were dry and floury, skin like rubber
Yorkshire pud was rubbery and tasteless
Also got some old lettuce and something else long and green, not sure what it was
No peas, No mash
When asked , the rest of group said very nice thank you it was lovely
FFS it was crap, service was slow and the cutlery was cheap lightweight stuff
I was warned not to complain so I kept my mouth shut, only ate about a third of what was on the plate, it was a posh place so no one complained but I expected much better
Is it me ??
Just add that the Eaton Mess was sour due to some berries they put in, not nice at all

I take it you won't be taking us all for a meal there.
Difficult to find a place that isn't serving expensive designer dinners, maybe I'm just old fashioned

Should have gone to a greasy spoon. Eye was in a hotel recently. Asked for stake un chips. Eye was eggspecting surloin or simular. Eye gorra huge burger un chips. Burger was said to be angus stake inside. Eye eatid it as sending food back reminds me of seeing someone reject a pizza fer norravvin enuff topping, on a hidden camera telly program.Difficult to find a place that isn't serving expensive designer dinners, maybe I'm just old fashioned
