Morning All :D
Sharp crisp cool morning out there today. :)
Left the BBQ cover off last night. :(
We are feeling the fallout from the deteriorating situation with my lad. Wife's pushed into school pick-ups and guess who fed them last night?
Guess who gets to play "Taxi" to take them all home?
This isn't good, understandable, but crap IMHO :(
Have a good day. :D
Sympathies mate.:(:(:(

Had the eldest lab spayed yesterday so no more lab in knickers twice a year :D
apart from the risk of a pyo, which we experienced with two of ours, this is another advantage of getting them spayed young.
I hate to do it as I always dream we'll have pups again, but the way we live now it won't be possible.
But the vets say it is best too so that's what we do.
And as we can choose when we get it done, it happens in France where it's cheaper, and the after care is better. ;)

I would have loved her to have puppies. The thought of £5k in revenue appeared interesting. The thought of giving up her pups was the deal breaker as I don’t have room for another 6-10 labs :D

Fat lot of good it seems to be doing them, mind you, 10% of not much probably isnt helping.

Are you watching the progs?
Country seems to be dirt poor.
In a recent episode it was saying that there is a high divorce rate but that many couples can't afford to live apart, so they carry on in the same place.
If that had been me and my ex one of us would have been brown bread and the other in jail before 6 months were up.;)

We always kept one, a bitch, to carry on the line.
The money is a factor, our last lot paid an unexpected tax bill! :):):)
But mating, vets bills etc mount up. And they are a lot of work, fun but work. King Charlies first then our lovely Cocker, 7 pups, all fine. you never forget the experience. Some still send us Christmas cards and pics of their pups too. That must stop soon as they are all 13 years old now.

And the endless cleaning of the kitchen floor!:eek::eek:

In the one I watched last night an old boy is doing up his car and his son is helping him. Then they got the earth shattering news that his son and his girlfriend have both been accepted to do PhDs in Mexico. If they stay out of the country for more than two years they lose their Cuban citizenship. But they are going. The son is just an ornery looking bloke in a boiler suit getting his hands oily. You wouldn't dream he is a potential doc of Psych.
the literacy rate is apparently very high.
Strange the stuff you can learn from a car prog!

Mornin all!:)
Up lateish.:(
as Wifey is going to her sewing today she wanted to know if we had enough undercoat in. so she can buy some more when she is out.
(Herself is "doing the gloss painting").
So while she is getting dressed I am all over the place trying to find some. And all this before breakfast. Grrr!
Went all over the place till found two tins.
2 tins, both covered in dust. So she starts with "That'll be no good just look at those tins!" etc, so I brush the dust off, lever up the lids, with great difficulty, cut through about 1/4" of skin, despite my having sealed the tin years ago, and sho nuff there is the paint, but with the brownish oil base on the top.
"There, look, it's all rusty!" quoth she.
"No" sez I, "tis but the oil base, wait till I stir it." and sure enough once stirred it's absolutely fine.
Funny how wimmins find it so hard to believe that old stuff properly stored can still be used. Left to her she'd just have bought a new tin.
So she's out and i am contemplating fitting the noo MAP/IAT sensor then filling the boot wiv sacks of grass cuttings and other tat for the dump and the charity shop. Genny will have to come out and go in the old trailer for now. Sack truck operation. "Back-ache specials", we call these jobs!
Have a lovely day folks!!!:):):)

Just checked the prices for Lab pups, £600 to £800 if not pedigree but more like £2k for those.
We always had really good pedigree ones, our last's sire was Polish national champ, but you do have to pay for it. Great when you are selling them though. Difficult to find dogs to mate with too. Our's always went through the bitch's pedigree with a fine tooth comb to ensure there was no danger of inbreeding AND that she was "good enough" to be bred with and to have the name of her kennel linked to the pups! What also costs when doing this is all the medical tests on the mum to show potential buyers.

sorry I digress, this should be on the other fred!

That’s why I bought the latest lab from Oban. No doubt that’ll stop once Nikki’s hard border is imposed.

Kinky o_O:D How is she after the opp.
Initially first 3 hours totally confused, threw up three times as they can’t eat after 1800 previous evening. Spent many hours sleeping. Today eating, drinking and tail wagging. Two and a half weeks stitches out then back in the beating line :D
